Recipes

One of the most important things to do when you choose to eat a healthy diet is to keep it interesting, most people will waver if they have to choose between a delicious looking cake or a plate of seeds and beans, but you can get round this by making your food look mouth watering and adding flavour to it. I’m going to share a few of my recipes here with you and I’ll tell you why they’re good for you too.

Chili with turkey mince and brown rice or sweat potato wedges

If you are going to serve your chilli with Sweet Potato wedges you will need to prepare these first as they take longer to cook, but if you’re pushed for time or prefer rice you can cook both the rice and chilli in about 15 minutes.

To prepare the Sweet Potatoes cut them into wedges, drizzle them with olive oil, sprinkle on a little  salt and pepper then bake for 40 mins, you can also add herbs such as Basil or Oregano. Alternatively you can boil some brown rice for about 15 minutes.

Brown some turkey mince and red onions in olive oil, then add two cans of tinned tomatoes, one can of kidney beans and chilli powder to taste, continue to stir and cook for 15 minutes.
